Not Me! Monday

Hey ya'll it's that time of week again. Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week, and please join in the fun. Happy Not Me-ing!

Over the weekend DH and I reached our 10yr being together anniversary (not marriage, that's in May). So, in true Catrisha fashion being that it was our anniversary I definitely did not do it up big. I did not pull out all the stops with Kleenex, cough drops, cold meds, and a heating pad b/c I was too sick with a head cold to do the normal. Nope. Not me.

I also did not decide that taking my child to Wal*greens for Easter pics with the Easter bunny was a good idea while sick, after reading the adpaper. I mean I needed more Kleenex and nasal spray any how, so why not. I did not get my child all pumped up to sit on that rabbit's lap only to get there and find out that s/he was also sick, and lost there kibble in front of other children at 11am that morning. At this point *B* did not proceed to have a meltdown thinking that that rabbit will now be too sick to bring him a basket next weekend and hide the eggs he's eager to color. So, I did not throw a huge fit with the sales clerk telling her that someone in that store needed to dress up as a damned rabbit to calm my child down. Nobody could, however he still got very cute Easter pics taken in a awesome packet deal for only $9.99, due to our tantrums. To which I did not refuse to pay for b/c he was off center and had red eye, b/c the actual photographer went home with the good camera and they used a crappy in store one. Nope. Not me! I'm not that rude, mean or moody... except for when AF is here, I'm sick, and you've made my child cry b/c you're sorta taking away from the whole Easter bunny gimmick for him and he doesn't understand.

PS: I ended up paying $4.99 for the pics, but still I could of taken a better one myself with my own camera and made up thrown together background. I'll post the pic soon when I get it scanned and uploaded.

Monster See, Monster Do

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

This past week was so nice, warm and springtime. *B* and I spent alot of time outside soaking up the glorious sunshine and even went to the park this past Friday with DH. When we were there it just so happens that my step-brother was there with his girl-friend and their 3kids. *B* is easily influenced by everything he sees so when my nephew went down the slide so did *B*. When my nephew went to the sand area, so did *B*. And when my nephew picked up sand and threw it *B*, he most certainly did not pick it up and throw sand at himself too. Nope. Not my child!

So, of course the crazy mother I am I freaked out, but I let them play, b/c boys will be boys. But then my nephew went up on wooden play thing and started spitting off it onto other kids. *B* did not do that either. Instead he spit juice from his cup on other kids which made them scream and their parents come hunting me. Nope, That could not be my child either.

Finally the straw that broke this Mommy's back was when I'm guessing my nephew went under the playhouse where it's secluded and peed. (He's potty trained and my brother has taught him just to whip it out anywhere and pee.) B/c relatively 60seconds later *B* did not run out from the same area nakkid as a blue jay saying "Mommy me pee like D too!" Nope. Not my child at all!!

So, what have you not been up to? Please don't be scared to add in you're whimsical horror stories like my own, b/c that is what this writing adventure at MckMama's is all about!! Happy Not Me-ing!

Things My Husband Would NEVER Tell You...

But I will.... LOL!!

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week. To add your own Not Me! Monday blog entry. Happy Not Me!-ing.

This is going to be a Not My Husband! post. DH would Not kill me if he knew what I was about to post... LOL! But he probably would throw a huge fit. However it makes a great blog post.

This weekend DH bought "DJ Hero" for our Wii. We've had this game system with quite a few games for what seems like forever now (which is really 3yrs) but since we moved here it's pretty much just been sitting and collect dust. So after buying this game he decided to get it out and dust it off. Then he most certainly Did Not spend Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights playing this game. In fact he spent 8hrs at it Friday night, 12hrs at it Saturday night, and 3hrs at it last night. Nope. Not My Husband!

He also Did Not go as far as to bring a dining room table chair to our living room and prop himself up directly in front of the TV with feet on the TV stand so that he could be closer to it b/c he thought it would make his gaming skills better. Nope. Not My Husband!
Then last night when he wanted me to play and I had no interest in the "DJ Hero" game and I threw a fit that he never plays any games I want to he most certainly Did Not suggest "Disney's Karaoke Sing It" game. And then proceed to sing the songs in a high pitched girlie voice.

NOPE. NOT MY HUSBAND!!! LOL!!! (Pardon the profanity at the end of the video and the darkness of the video I was trying to do it on the low-key so he wouldn't know.)

Not My Child Monday

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week. And Don't be afraid to join in the fun and add your own Not Me! Monday post.

As most of you know *B* (my little Monster) is sick. He has the cruddy croup. Before his cough came in he was just running a fever and vomiting. The first day he was sick I didn't know it really. He was running a tiny temp, but nothing drastic and I thought it was just his molars. So, we headed out to Wal-Mart. (We were due to get pounded by a snow storm/blizzard and I wanted to be prepared.) I had him in the seat part of the cart and I had my cart full of groceries. I rounded the corner to go in the infant/child section for some nite-time pull-ups when he decides NOT to give me any warning then proceeds to burp and vomit all over the the rack of diapers. Then says "Mommy my belly hurts." Nope. Not My Child!

As if that wasn't bad enough and I wasn't mortified already. He then screams at the top of his lungs "G*d D*mn Pooook!" Making everyone stare even more. (Thanks DH for saying this totally inappropriate phrase.) He's definitely Not My Child! now.

The mess got cleaned up in Wal-Mart and we made it home and 14in of snow and 36hrs of vomiting, on-and-off fever, and a newly developed cough and snot nose later made it to his pediatrician's office. Once there and getting checked out it's like everything is alright, although I knew differently b/c he was still whinning and NOT acting himself. The Dr. orders up some tests that we have to go to the hospital and lab to get done. When we arrive there we get the chest x-ray first, b/c I knew if he got blood drawn first he would NOT sit still for the x-ray. In radiology he proceeds to hack and sneeze all over the place, and when I wasn't paying close enough attention wipe his snot that had run down his lip when sneezing on the x-ray board. "Are you serious he DID NOT just do that?!?!" (Oh it gets better...) When we arrived at the vampire lab after x-ray and the blood suckers were trying to be all cutesy with him saying they were looking for his muscles when looking for a vein and then tied that thing (can't think of the name of it right now) around his arm when they found it and it pinched; he said "Sh*t!" Of course they thought it was cute and had to laugh at him making him say it again. So, when they finally stuck the needle in he screams "SH*T!" and cries. They're NOT laughing now, and he's NOT MY CHILD! b/c I certainly HAVE NOT raised him to act like this.

Oh how I love hate the terrible 2's, and I've heard 3 isn't much better. *sigh* PS: He's still sick, but showing some improvement. At least he's eating now after 5 days of only fluids that he mostly threw-up.

OUCH!

Click the button above to check out more posts like mine and see how you can be a part of the "Not Me" Monday madness and fun. My first ever "Not Me" Monday post sponsored by MckMama. This should be fun. Here I sit after what I thought was going to be the perfect weekend, hoping to pound out a blog entry in 10min or less like always. But Not Me! In fact I'll be lucky to get one decent paragraph down in 10min without a typo. (Oh wait I have spell check.. LOL!) You see the weekend started out great, and the rip roaring fun continued on into Saturday along with the drizzle we've been having. In fact I planned a game night with my best girl-friend, Dad, little brother, and little brother's Mom while DH went to Saturday night poker night with *B*. When I went to pick up my friend at her house it was dark. Her teenage driver daughter had parked to close to the other car in their drive, and I couldn't fit through between them. I ended up having to walk around and I couldn't see since it was dark, and fell. I bet you think it was a graceful fall, don't you? Nope, Not Me! Ya know b/c that's not my style. I went face first in the mud catching myself with my hands. I got up went inside her house, and semi-cleaned myself off. Then you know I didn't proceeded to Wal*Mart to buy the board game "Last Word", with me looking a mess and mud all over and in pain, b/c I was determined to have fun damnit. Nope, Not Me! LOL! We get home and laugh and play, carrying on until 2am, and I didn't even go to the hospital that night b/c the pain wasn't that bad.

The next day I ended up at the hospital wearing a face mask b/c I wasn't there for a respiratory cold or the flu. Definitely NOT ME! I was there for x-rays. I answered their questions, got my pretty pictures of my bones taken, and I waited. And waited. And waited some more. Finally 3hrs later, the nurse comes in and gets out a splint to splint my wrist with. She tells me the Dr. will be with me shortly. Finally he comes in and tells me that I have a hair line fracture to the wrist, and I have to see an orthopedist, and sport this ugly black velcro splint until. Ugh.... I was hoping this was Not Me!

So here I sit in this painful oblivion this Monday evening waiting until Friday for my ortho appt., typing one handed (and doing quite well at it I might add), feeling helpless b/c it's my right hand and I'm right-handed, and ready to be hyped up on pain pills as soon as *B* goes to bed all b/c I have a fractured wrist. Holy cow, do I wish this was Not Me!
